Banyan Tree Massage Studio, Monroe NC, was formed because we are massage therapists who want to perform the massages we were trained to do for the purposes of healing and relaxation.
Coming from different massage locations, we were tired of the rush that was felt by both the therapist and clients and decided to change the experience. We have a desire to provide a quality, personalized experience to those who walk through our doors.
Amanda has been determined to help people out since she was young. She started out her career going towards the path of a Registered Nurse. During her schooling towards an RN, her son came down with a serious illness. While living in the hospital a lot of soul searching came about. She realized she could not continue with the nursing for her own emotional health. She still had the urge and need to help others. That is when massage therapy came to her.

This small peak of interest has since become her beloved craft. She is passionate about massage and the healing effects that can be obtained through postural assessment, bodywork techniques, and body education and awareness. Jasmine has expert knowledge and experience in Swedish, Deep Tissue and NMT. Through continuing education, she will be expanding her craft in various modalities.
She effectively integrates a complimentary variety of modalities into her massage such as NMT, Deep Tissue, Sports, Swedish and Lymphatic Drainage massage techniques to assist her clients in facilitating their own healing and growth.
At the age of 35 I changed careers from a decade of bookkeeping to finding my passion in professional massage therapy. In 2008, I graduated from Southeastern Institute of Neuromuscular Massage Therapy and have never looked back.
Within a year of graduating massage school I became a Reiki Master Teacher. I also became a tutor for the massage program I graduated from, eventually becoming an instructor.
In 2012 I began volunteering with the Charlotte Cobras, becoming their Health Director as well as team massage therapist. In this new venture I realized the excitement I feel working with athletes. Since that time, my continued education and practice has focused on sports therapy
Massage therapy is not only the treatment of a client for optimal health but also teaching the client about their body. My clients have ranged from age four to 96 years of age and span the spectrum in medical issues and physical development. My toolbox of techniques currently include Swedish Massage, Sports Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Neuromuscular Massage, Reiki, Medicupping, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage. I combine these modalities to create a custom massage that is suited to my client's needs as decided by them and my assessment practices.
